Chaozhou Zhu Ni Gaiwan Tiaodao Technique 120ml
695 ₴
Chaozhou Gaiwan (Thin Tire / Thin-walled) is the pinnacle of Guangdong’s tea aesthetics. Crafted from authentic Zhu Ni (Vermilion Clay), this gaiwan features remarkably thin walls. This allows the vessel to respond instantly to water temperature—a critical factor for unlocking the delicate aromatics of elite Oolongs and Green teas.
Shapes & Design: This collection offers two canonical silhouettes:
- Yuanbao (Ingot): A shape inspired by the traditional gold ingot. It features flared rims that protect your fingers from the heat (anti-scalding).
- Horseshoe (Ma Ti): A classic tall shape that ensures an ideal concentration of aroma beneath the lid.
"Tiaodao" (Jumping Knife) Technique: Models marked as "Jumping knife" feature a unique textured surface. The rhythmic hand-applied chattered marks create a pleasant satin finish. This makes the gaiwan look like a vintage artifact and provides a secure, non-slip grip.
Due to the density of Chaozhou Zhu Ni clay, this gaiwan absorbs minimal aroma, making it a versatile tool for tasting various tea varieties in the Gongfu Cha style.
- Origin: Chaozhou (Guangdong).
- Specialty: Thin Tire construction, anti-scalding design.
- Style: Vintage / New Chinese Style.
